We recognize that every individual we treat brings a unique set of life experiences and challenges. As such, we prescribe counseling that will have the greatest benefit through matching available therapies with the patient's core values. For some, a secular approach provides the most effective pathway to success. For others, a faith-based strategy creates counseling that resonates with their spiritual convictions.
TRADITIONAL PERSPECTIVE
All of our therapy is designed to identify and change those behaviors or patterns which negatively affect an individual’s life. Traditional psychotherapy uses a variety of scientifically validated procedures to help people, live healthier, happier, lives through more effective habits. The prescribed treatment is decided upon through dialog and assessments. Through these insights, one or a combination of therapies is prescribed. Psychotherapy is a safe and comfortable relationship setting through which problems and disorders are treated through verbal or nonverbal communication and interventions with the client. It is the aim of psychotherapy to reduce psychological distress through communication, rather than drugs.

"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.". Philippians 4:13
" The Bible is the best psychology book in terms of values and consistency. It doesn't claim to be a manual for mental health, but a professional like myself can gleen that and apply it to what is already known in the field of psychology. When you have compassion and caring toward another human being, that draws them closer and more responsive to you..."

TRADITIONAL vs CHRISTIAN COUNSELING

CHRISTIAN PERSPECTIVE
Christian counseling includes all of the same techniques and as traditional therapy, while at the same time, integrates the spiritual dimension. By blending psychology and practical theology, we are able to integrate the client’s spiritual values with therapies supportive to their Christian beliefs. By placing Christ at the center of accountability, and pointing to Scripture for Truth, we are able to consider God's will as a key element of understanding and healing. Just as some people are spiritual and others are not, we understand, each person has varying levels of spirituality and types of personal relationship with God. Within this knowledge, we strive to create a perfect balance of psychology and theology to perfectly fit your beliefs and comfort level.
